BRYR Volunteer Support Worker - Vacancy

BRYR is seeking a Volunteer Support Worker

With funding from the Special Program for Youth (SPY)

BRYR is seeking a dynamic Volunteer Support Worker who is committed to Youth Work and has a creative approach to working with volunteers. The person will oversee BRYR’s volunteer support programme including the support of local voluntary groups and the recruitment, induction and support to adult volunteers BRYR is seeking a person with knowledge of voluntary work with young people in a youth work setting.

This is a full-time position, commencing in July 2011.

A professional qualification in youth & community work or an equivalent professional qualification and three years relevant experience is essential.

A comprehensive and clear understanding and experience of the youth work approach to working with young people is also necessary.

Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, the Volunteer Support Worker will be working in a singular position but is connected to a team.

Weekend and evening work will be required.
