BRYR participated in the youngballymun "it's good to talk" Week. Oct 5th-9th 09

Good to talk Week.

BRYR facilitated several awareness events around Youth Mental Health during the week.

Both BRYR staff and young people took part in several workshops both inside and outside the Reco during the Awareness week.

The various activities/workshops which BRYR hosted and ran were:

RECO Based Activities

  • Wed 5th Oct, 5-7pm RECO: Our"Cadet Boys" Youth Group attended a "Minding Yourself" Workshop: Facilitated by Mater Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and BRYR.
  • Mon 5th Oct 7-9pm and Thursday 8th Oct 5-7pm RECO: Our "Aisling Grads" and "Chill Monday" groups attended Youth Wellbeing Workshop: Facilitated by Dr. Graham Connon HSE and BRYR.
  • Fri 9th Oct 7-9pm RECO: Open Friday in the Reco: BRYR Outreach Team facilitated a number of workshop activities around the theme of Communication and Good Mental Health

Street Based Activities

  • Mon 5th, Wed 7th, Thurs 8th Oct, 7-10pm: BRYR Outreach Team facilitated a Mental Health Awareness Quiz with small groups of young people as part of our Street Education Programme.
  • Thurs 8th Oct 5-7pm: Street Games: BRYR Outreach Team ran street games as part of our Outreach Program, focussing on Developing Communication Skills
