Reco Courtyard Céilí
BRYR played host to brilliant Irish Music and Céilí Performance
A big thank you to Glor na nGael, Ceoltoiri Glor na nGael (musicians) and the Glor na nGael Irish dancers from Inis Ealga School of Irish Dancing for coming to The Reco to take part in our Fun Friday sessions for 10-12 years from 2.30- 4pm.
A great time was had by all from watching the wonderful performance to taking part in the Ceile that followed. As you can see from our pics, due to the fine weather, the activity was moved outdoors to our fabulous courtyard, which served as a great venue for the Ceile, where under the guidance of all the young dancers and musicians, everyone had great fun learning and taking part in The Walls of Limerick (Ballai Luimni), The Seige of Ennis ( Ionsai na hInse ) but to name a few. The craic was ninety!
Following the great success of the afternoon like last year, we have asked Glor na nGael and all the young local dancers & musicians, not too wait an another year to return but to join us again during the summer for a Summer Buzz Ceile! so keep you eyes posted to our website for dates and times, there is also a rumour that The BRYR Shuffle Club have also challenged them to a dance off ! So that won’t be one to miss! – It’s going to be some fun in The Reco this summer!
Again thanks to Glor na nGael, especially Fergus and all the young dancers & musicians and their Teachers for a great day and experience!
