Arts
Arts activities are excellent vehicles for mobilising young people. In BRYR we approach arts activities with the same ultimate welfare and developmental objectives as all our work. We recognise the particular communications and creativity dimensions of arts-based youth work.
The Arts Team has 2 positions, shared by 3 workers; it is backed by CE and sessional workers and volunteers. We divide our arts work into 4 areas:
CITY or Communications through Information Technologies for Youth.
The Art Club, fine art, crafts and design.
The Music Club, all forms of music including our guitar school and the Munch Samba Band and regular open mic gigs.
Roundabout Youth Theatre, three levels of youth theatre.
