Roundabout Youth Theatre
Theatre has been an important element of BRYR's work since our formation in 1999. Roundabout Youth Theatre has developed the theatre skills of over 90 young people and performed several productions.
BRYR recently undertook a Strategic Review of the Roundabout Youth Theatre.
Roundabout Youth Theatre (RYT) is open to all young people in Ballymun between the ages of 10 to 21 years. In keeping with BRYR’s ethos to enable young people to engage and contribute to the development of the community, RYT provides access to drama and theatre within an age appropriate structure:
Young Roundabouters 10 to 12 years
Roundabout Youth Theatre 13 – 16 years
Roundabout Youth Theatre 17 – 21 years
Theatre provides a unique opportunity to engage with young people by providing a basis through the tools of drama for self expression, individual personal development, confidence building and communication. By providing the space for young people to come together and interact while making theatre, Roundabout Youth Theatre seeks to nurture an environment where all members are encouraged to actively participate in core weekly workshops, the planning of productions and to have agency through their participation in the Youth Theatre’s structural development through inclusion within the Advisory Group.

Roundabout Youth Theatre holds weekly workshops at The RECO in three age groups and is currently open for new members!
Young Roundabouters (10 to 12 yrs) Saturdays 11am – 12.30pm
Roundabout Youth Theatre (13 – 16 yrs) Saturdays 12.45 – 2.15pm
Roundabout Youth Theatre (17 – 21 yrs) Tuesdays 7pm – 9pm
