Explanation of Outfit

Outfit

Outfit is a programme of mentoring and support for the most “at risk” young people, aged 17- 21 years old who are from the Ballymun area. The programme runs for a year, the engagement is voluntary. The participants set their own goals with the guidance of a mentor and together they take the journey towards reaching the goals. The programme is broken into four phases, 100 young people assessed in phase 1, 20 young people will then commit to the journey for a year.

Youth reach case study

A persons goal on outfit may be to get into Youthreach; this goal has to be worked towards over time. A young person through outfit will learn the importance of timekeeping, consistency, acting responsible, setting reachable sustainable goals. Outfit will help you get into youth reach but initially will help you be able to commit to Youthreach in order to sustain a place.
