Young people, GAP and local gardener John O’ Donoghue planning our RECO Mediterranean style garden
To compliment our Olive tree, young people, GAP and local gardener John O’ Donoghue have been planning a Mediterranean style garden over the last couple of months for the Reco Courtyard.
Following much thought and research, the young people developed a plan for a relaxing space full of bright colours and fragrances.
Planting eagerly started in mid May with a range of flowers, plants and herbs.
The Cadets are the first group to get involved in this exciting joint project with GAP.
The first phase of the project will run over the summer months, taking place every Tuesday.
So far, "The Junior Cadets" have really enjoyed getting stuck in and learning new gardening tips and skills- check out our gallery.
The Cadets are also entering all their great work and newly planted Sunflowers into the local ‘Beautiful Spaces Competition 2010’ so keep those green fingers crossed!
